Finance & Accounts Office
The Finance & Accounts Office of IIT Kanpur is responsible for managing the financial operations and resources of the Institute. This office plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of funds to support the various academic and research activities at the Institute.
The primary responsibilities of the Finance & Accounts Office include budgeting, financial planning, accounting, and financial reporting. The office works closely with different departments and administrative units within the Institute to develop and monitor budgets, allocate funds, and track expenditures. It also handles financial transactions, such as payments to vendors, payroll processing, and managing the institute's financial records.
The Finance & Accounts Office works in compliance with relevant financial regulations, policies, and guidelines set by the government and the Institute itself. It ensures adherence to financial procedures and maintains accurate and transparent financial records.
