Shooting Club
Sports and skill enhancement practices are key to holistic development of students. The Shooting Club at IIT Kanpur embodies the life skills of concentration, accuracy, and consistency. Established with the aim of promoting marksmanship skills in a safe and disciplined shooting environment, the club provides an opportunity for students and enthusiasts to learn and excel in various shooting disciplines. The equilibrium of mental and physical exercise through shooting sports fosters strength, balance, and coordination. Shooting club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for members to learn, practice, and excel in various shooting disciplines.
The Shooting Club at IIT Kanpur organizes workshops in three layers:
Pistol
Rifle
Shotgun
The club offers a platform for different indoor and outdoor workshops for interested participants, 13 years or above in age, helping them to enhance their perceptual and general cognitive skills.
Safety is our utmost priority at the Shooting Club, and all members undergo comprehensive safety training before participating in any shooting activities.
