Table Tennis

Table tennis, also known as ping-pong, is an exhilarating sport that has found  a place within the sports culture of IIT Kanpur. This fast-paced game involves two or four players who skillfully maneuver a lightweight ball, swiftly exchanging shots using specialized table tennis rackets. The playing area, divided by a net at its center, rests upon a hard table, contributing to the distinct character of the sport.

Renowned for its rapid tempo, table tennis demands impeccable hand-eye coordination and lightning-quick reflexes from its players. This challenging yet enthralling nature of the game is one of the reasons why it is celebrated within the IIT Kanpur community.

Beyond the thrill of competition, table tennis fosters valuable skills such as concentration and strategic thinking. With the ball's swift movements, players must remain acutely focused, sharpening their ability to anticipate and respond swiftly.
