Research Topic

The experimental investigation is planned so as to encapsulate the complete behavior of the structure-foundation soil system during a seismic action. The first set introduces the seismic forces to the system from a laminar shear box where it can replicate the actual vertical propagation of shear wave. For the second set, the scaled structure-foundation-soil system is subjected to seismic forces through a mass shaker mounted at the top of the structure. The numerical modeling of the structure-foundation-soil system is carried out with finite element.
