Swimming and water polo take center stage among the water sports offerings at Aquatics IIT Kanpur.

The main goal of Aquatics at IIT Kanpur is to foster a comprehensive swimming program through the provision of excellent pool facilities, skilled coaches, and dedicated lifeguards. Students and faculty at IIT Kanpur have access to a swimming pool, providing a relaxing escape after busy schedules of classes and labs. Moreover, swimming is renowned for its excellent exercise benefits, contributing to overall well-being.

Aquatics at IIT Kanpur is an Institute Community Facility that acts as a stress buster for campus residents. Swimming programs and water polo enhance fun and enjoyment while cultivating a sense of tranquility. 

IIT Kanpur Games and Sports Council (GnS) provides the swimmers with an Olympic-size eight-lane Pool. This Pool's shallow end has a depth from 3.5 feet to 5 feet, while the depth is 20 feet at the deep end. Several diving boards are provided for the deep end of the Pool, which are 3m, 5m, 7.5m, and 10m high. Aquatics IIT Kanpur has morning and evening slots for swimming practices. Two cleansing plants are used to filter the pools regularly, boasting hygiene.
