American Academy of Mechanics Founders Prize and Grant (2005)The award and grant was conferred for the assay; Progress through Mechanics: "Biological Motors". The grant money was used in Molecular Motors and Protein Interaction projects. The criteria for the award were to select a PhD candidate with proven research and academic background with a clear understanding of the field and its long term impact on society. Shri Ram Arora Award (2011). The award is given to outstanding materials scientist below the age of 30 years. The award was presented at TMS annual meeting 2011in San Diego (California, USA)
